What inspired you to become a Mom Entrepreneur?
In 2006, my husband and I returned to Canada to downsize from corporate life in San Francisco and raise our family. The resources to plug families in to the local community did not exist. So, we built an online community where parents from around the globe could discover, learn and hang out.

What will the $15,500 grand prize of cash and business advisory services allow your business to do?
Receiving this honour allows Our Big Earth Media Co. the opportunity to expand its free community-based programs including our kids' gardening series, NeighbourWood Walks and the expansion of the OBE community gardens. With an infusion of money, we will extend the reach of these programs into neighbouring communities and invest in larger scope educational programs for children.
